About Gerald Meyer

Gerald Meyer is a Professor of History at Hostos Community College (CUNY), and a Visiting Professor at the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute/Queens College. He is the author of: Vito Marcantonio: Radical Politician, 1902-1954 (SUNY Press); and forty articles, encyclopedia entries, and reviews on a wide variety of subjects. He is the co-editor with Philip V. Cannistraro of The Lost World of ltalian American Radicalism (Forthcoming, Praeger 2002). He is the Associate Editor of The Italian American Review and a Member of the Editorial Board of Science & Society. He has been awarded a Rockefeller Fellowship, John D. Calandra Italian American Institute Fellowship, a Center of Puerto Rican Studies Fellowship, as well as research support from the Research Foundation of the City University of New York.
